Celebrating 25 Years of Global Dialogue

About the IPPF

Founded in 2001, the International Public Policy Forum (IPPF) is the only global competition that empowers high school students to engage in rigorous written and oral debates on issues of public policy.

Founded and managed by the Brewer Foundation and jointly administered with New York University, the IPPF is open to all high school students worldwide. Students compete for the title of IPPF World Champion and a $10,000 grand prize.

Our Leadership

Behind the IPPF stands a dynamic community of leaders, advocates, and educators committed to empowering the next generation of global thinkers. These individuals champion a shared belief: that discourse, when done well, can shape policy, inspire leadership, and change the world.

How to Participate

The competition begins annually in October, as teams submit a 3,000-word qualifying round essay on the IPPF topic. Judges evaluate each essay, and the top 64 teams advance into a single-elimination, written debate competition.

"The IPPF provides an unparalleled opportunity for students to develop critical thinking, research, and advocacy skills."
