Every year, the "Elite 8" teams earn an all-expenses-paid trip to the IPPF Finals in New York City. The following is an overview of the schedule of events during IPPF Finals Weekend. 

Friday, April 17, 2026

5-7 p.m. ET
"Elite 8" teams are invited to a  Welcome Reception. Teams will have an opportunity to meet many of the NYU Ambassadors, IPPF Advisory Board members, and prior IPPF champions.

 

Saturday, April 18, 2026

 

7:45 a.m. ET

Teams flip for Aff/Neg positions in individual rooms at NYU School of Law.

8:15-9:30 a.m.

Quarterfinal debates will take place in individual rooms. 

​

9:40 a.m.

Announcement of semifinalists. Sides to be chosen for advancing teams.

​

10:10 a.m.

The first semifinal debate will be held.

​​

11:40 a.m.

The second semifinal debate will be held. 

​

1:15 p.m.

The final two IPPF teams will be announced.

​

​3:30-5 p.m.
The final debate will be held at NYU School of Law. 

​

5 p.m.

After the final debates, a reception and awards ceremony will be held. Each of the "Elite 8" teams will be honored, and the 2025-26 IPPF World Champion will be named.
